The creation of Burrtec’s Ratshut Weatherstrip has been a boom into the garage door industry with installers, distributors, and even spring manufacturers jumping on board to bring Ratshut on as a product offering.
Burrtec recently attended the International Door Association’s (IDA) Spring EduCon and Tradeshow in Atlanta in April. The show is the premiere exhibition for the garage door industry and is held twice a year, with a fall version to come this September in Phoenix.
Networking sessions were remarkably positive and Burrtec was able to create instant door installer business at the show itself – launching Ratshut in a bold, effective way!
Ratshut rodent-proof weather strip is designed to prevent rodents from entering through openings at the top and sides of garage doors. It was originally launched to the pest control industry at its annual show in Denver in October 2024, to rave reviews there.
Ratshut comes with a slick white design with a stainless-steel plate inside the plastic exterior. It is durable yet flexible plastic and installs quickly.
The company has become popular in pest control for its other products – door sweeps. These solutions stop rodents and dust, dirt, and pollen from entering underneath common doorways!
